‘Iron Man’ Review

Iron Man

Robert Downey, Jr. plays Tony Stark, an alcoholic, womanizing weapons mogul who is kidnapped by a fringe group of terrorists in the Middle East. They want him to build them a weapon, but Stark uses their lab-in-a-cave to construct the ultimate fighting armor. When he returns to the U.S., he continues to improve upon the design so he can fight crime and the war mongers who have gotten their hands on his weapon technology.

LIAM’S REVIEW

What Liam expected: A superhero movie about a guy who made a robot.

What Liam liked: When the man made his robots and used them to escape and fight the bad guys.

What Liam didn’t like: When the first robot blew up, and the kissing.

***KISSING ALERT***

Grade: Kinda stinks.

KEVIN’S REVIEW

What Kevin expected: An exciting and explosive superhero movie.

What Kevin liked: The action sequences were awesome, and the spirit of the film was true to the original comic books. The film wasn’t too heavy or depressing, and director Jon Favreau’s style worked perfectly for the tone.

What Kevin didn’t like: With all the hype leading up to the film, it was impossible for Iron Man to completely live up to it. Additionally, Jeff Bridges as the bad guy was a bit cheesy.

Grade: Kinda rocks.
